TARP wasn't all needed|repercussions?
The following link from Business Week memorializes the fact that TARP set aside funds were not used, it appears only about half of what was allocated was used to bail out the financial industry. To date none of it was used to bail out any common individual citizens. The United States is going to find the future a tough place if a major industry consists of a bunch of people gambling in the stock market, derivatives. bonds etcetera, a/k/a the financial market. We need more invention and more engineers and a whole lot less Gordon Geckos.

Reading Between The Lines
Between what was and what will be lies the here and now. Twenty Three years of successfully practicing law for the benefit of my clients has made that awareness more and more acute as the years go by. Recently I have come to realize that by setting aside what has happened and the hope of what may happen my clients and I have had productive meetings in preparing cases for trial by simply focusing on the facts that are established without interpretation colored by memory of how my client(s) wanted to remember what had happened and then establishing what those facts support. The here and now is the place where strategy is born to present the facts from the past in a coherent chronology of what the precise truth was and remains, and what was the illusion of perspective from both sides of a dispute. Success comes from the point between what was and what will be and plain and simple focus on that point and what it means to the fact pattern being investigated.

GA Supreme Court Rejects Social Engineering
The Georgia Supreme Court this week rejected by unanimity an egregious state law voted into effect last year at the insistence of by Mr. Eric Johnson a Republican, but a Republican who masquerades as a conservative. Mr. Johnson is a complete liberal as his social engineering ideas reveal. Here is a link to the Court's rejection of his social engineering: Sup Ct Decision
The decision is a short read and will revitalize your spirit. We are citizens of the greatest country on earth and that humankind has ever known and our citizenship is worth protecting against freedom poachers like Mr. Johnson.
Thomas Jefferson said it well: "I consider trial by jury as the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution." -- Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Paine, 1789.
